Matthias Schneck graduated from the University of Stuttgart. In 2013, he
began his studies at University of Linköping, Sweden, and started
professional work experience at TRUMPF GmbH & Co KG, Ditzingen where
he focused on stamping and tool forming, using additive manufacturing.
Since 2016, Matthias has been working as a Research Assistant at the
Fraunhofer Research Institution for Casting, Composite, and Processing
Technology IGCV and at MAN Energy Solutions in Augsburg. His main
interests are the implementation of AM technologies, training for AM,
and the coordination of Fraunhofer-Graduation-Program “Metal-AM-Expert”
of the TUM graduate school doctorate program in Munich.
Training in Additive Manufacturing
Internal knowledge is a crucial factor when it comes to the implementation of additive technologies within a company. To leverage the potential of additive manufacturing processes in design and production detailed expertise is needed.
